First half of 2025 update

2025 has been a very exciting year so far, so I thought I’d update you with what has been happening, and what I’ve learnt from the last 6 months.

January 2025

We spent Christmas with Andy’s family down south, so January 2025 started with adjusting to being back home in our normal routine. We also put our house on the market, and received an offer a day or two later! We then had our offer accepted on the house we currently live in, it all happened in the matter of days, not weeks! One of the highlights for me though was celebrating our second wedding anniversary. 2024 wasn’t the easiest year for Andy and I, so knowing we got through it together, and a lot stronger in our marriage I believe is something to celebrate.

February 2025

As February approached we were chasing solicitors and planning and preparing for our house move. However for me the highlight of February was our Christmas present to one another, West End tickets to see Phantom of the Opera! We drove down south to stay with Andy’s parents for the weekend, we got the train into London and explored Hyde Park, ate delicious donuts and experienced one of our favourite theatre performances!

March 2025

March was a very exciting month, as we were informed we’d likely be moving house. It all happened very quickly, so in the matter of weeks we had to pack up our whole house in preparation for the big move. We didn’t forget to include date nights and time together in the midst of the slight chaos! My husband Andy had also recently started a new job role, so his capacity was slightly limited, so it was quite a hectic month.

April 2025

As we entered into April we had unpacked everything in our new home, but were adjusting to living in this new house together. We slowly started to feel more at home, we discovered new walks in our neighbourhood and were just so thankful to be in our new place. We had family over for Easter, and had our first overnight guest in our spare bedroom! We were also blessed with beautiful weather, so we did quite a lot of gardening and walking, which we both love, as we enjoy being outside.

May 2025

May was a lovely month, we started by hosting my in-laws, which was a lovely long bank holiday weekend. We explored some beautiful places together and enjoyed hosting them in our home. Andy and I went to see Swan Lake, which was on my bucket list and I was not disappointed! We then went away for the weekend to Berwick-upon-Tweed, which was a much needed break away from busy life. We then went away for another weekend to Ironbridge, as we had an annual pass to explore the historic sites in the area, which was due to expire in June. It was a very busy, but very enjoyable month.

June 2025

June started slightly rough, as I was suffering with migraines and felt very burnt out. Thankfully we had a lovely spa day together (which was a Christmas present), and a wonderful family holiday to Wales. Andy and I treated ourselves to a night in a glamping pod, and the rest of the time was full of family and sunshine! I also launched my new website and my YouTube channel, which was very exciting.

The remainder of 2025 is slightly up in the air, as I’m hoping my heart operation will be in the next couple months. Life with then look like recovery, holidays and enjoying our new freedom post operation!
